MIDDLETOWN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2000--Mediacom Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: MCCC) has announced the promotion of Richard P. Hanson to the position of Vice President, North Central Region.

Mr. Hanson has been serving as Regional Director, North Central Region since joining Mediacom in November 1999 upon the completion of the Triax acquisition. Mr. Hanson has 21 years of experience in the cable television industry. Before joining Mediacom, he served in various capacities for Triax, the last being Director of Operations, from March 1988 to October 1999. Previously, he served as System Manager for Combined Cable and Star Cablevision.
