Mediacom Digital Customers Will Receive STARZ! Package With Starz On Demand(R) for One Low Price

Packaging, Pricing, Marketing Designed to Boost Digital Customers

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. and ENGLEWOOD, Colo., April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MEDIACOM COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION (Nasdaq: MCCC), through its operating subsidiaries, and Starz Encore Group LLC (Starz) announced a new, landmark affiliation and carriage agreement that adds STARZ! HD, a high-definition television (HDTV) service dedicated to first-run and quality movies, and Starz On Demand(R), a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) movie service, to Mediacom's digital cable service.

We will work with Mediacom to market aggressively the depth and breadth of the new Starz premium service offerings. In particular, this is a landmark deal for the industry because it will demonstrate the power of our all-movie lineup to drive new customers to upgrade to digital and to entice those who may have tried digital and downgraded to give it another chance."

For one low monthly price, Mediacom will offer up to 20 Starz movie channels, the Starz On Demand(R) SVOD service and one digital set-top box and remote. The movie service gives Mediacom digital cable customers on demand access to more than 100 movies per month, including many of the latest Hollywood blockbusters at no additional charge. Customers will be able to watch the films as many times as they like with fast-forward, pause, and rewind capabilities with no per view charge.

Beginning in May, Mediacom plans to launch the new low price Starz package in all its systems, with HD and SVOD services in systems with those capabilities. As other Mediacom systems become HD and SVOD enabled, these services will be rolled out in those markets.
